Many years ago, there was a young girl named Pepsy, who was so bad-looking that she didn't like going out. She hated to hear people say, Pepsy is not beautiful. ”

But there were times when she had to go out shopping. She was unhappy and sometimes even angry (生氣)at people's criticizing her bad looks.

One night, a strange old woman came to Pepsy's house. She said to Pepsy, "My child, let me give you a hand. Put this magic (魔法)flower in your hair, and you'll become beautiful.”

Pepsy did what the old woman said. Something strange happened. She became beautiful! Pepsy was surprised to see herself so wonderful in the mirror (鏡子) . She ran happily out of her house. She walked on the street and smiled (微笑) at everyone who looked at her. She became very friendly and nice, very different from what she was before. Almost all the people said, " Pepsy is so great today!"”

Finally, Pepsy returned to her home. But before she entered the house, she saw the magic flower on the ground. She left the flower there before she hurried out. She didn't wear it when walking on the street!

No.2 The Animal’s Language

Different animals have different ways of showing their feelings. Let’s take cats and dogs for example. A dog barks (犬叫) to show there is someone at the door of your house. But a cat meows (貓叫聲) only to show it feels hungry. Although (雖然) both of them wag (搖擺) their tails (尾巴), it means different feelings. A dog wags its tail to show it is happy. However (無論如何), when a cat wags its tail, it is angry (生氣的) . Licking its owner (所有人) is a way dogs show the love for the owner. But cats lick your hand only because they want to eat the salt (鹽) on your hand. To show they love you, they may sit on your head. Besides (此外), dogs run after your bicycle for fun, but cats never do that.
