Step II Listening 1. Read and guess

T: Today we’re going to listen to a short play. Before listen-ing, please open your books and turn to Page 15. Read the questions for the three scenes and try to guess what it is about.

※Task 1 Guessing

T: Please listen to the short play and get the general idea. Scene 1 What is missing? What did they find? Scene 2 What did John and Mary discover? What did John and Mary find on the floor? Scene 3 What did John and Mary discover in the garden? ※Task 2 Listening

T: Now listen again and try to find the correct answer for

each question. (Play the tape again and then check the answers.)

※Task 3 Retelling

Ask different students to retell the three scenes with the help of the table above.
