　　?Abstract:
　　In recent years rampant Somali piracy has caused international co妹妹unity considerable concern and it is held an international crime that seriously endangers international maritime transportation, peace, safety and human co妹妹on interests. Under the authority of the UN’s resolution, many countries have begun their anti?piracy mission on Somalia waters. Based on an analysis of international law issues such as anti?piracy reasons and purposes, general jurisdiction, impunity and exception to state sovereignty, this paper intends to clarify the nature, measures and legitimacy of fighting piracy.
