After greeting the class,the teacher checks the students’ learning about the words,using the general questions and What-questions.

T:Let’s review the words and conversations in this unit.(Show some things of the students and talking with the class.)What’s this in English?

Ss:It’s an eraser.

T:Good.An eraser.Is this your eraser?(To S1.) S1:Yes,it is.It’s mine.

T:OK.Here you are.(Give the eraser back to S1.Take some books from S2 and ask.)What are these in English?

Ss:They’re books.

T:Yes,books.(To S3.)Are they yours?

In this way,Ss can review the target words and the sentences.And easily come into the new situation.

1.Use real things,or play the PPT showing the things to teach the new words. T:Please look at this.(Showing a watch and saying)What’s this in English?Do you know?

Maybe there is someone knowing the word “watch”. T:It’s a watch.Say “watch” after me. Ss:Watch.It’s a watch. T:Yes.These are two watches. Ss:Two watches.

Then,the teacher writes the words “a watch” and “two watches” on the blackboard.And teach the words “ring”,“notebook”,“bag” in the same way.When teaching the words,the teacher teaches them how to read the plural forms.If there isn’t a real thing around us,the teacher shows the pictures of them,e.g.a computer game and a baseball.

T:What’s this in English?(Point to the computer in the classroom.) Ss:It’s a computer.

Then,the teacher shows the computer game and teaches the words in the same way. T:This is a computer and that’s a computer game.I like computer games.I play computer games.(Imitate the action of playing.)

Ss:A computer game,computer games.

The teacher writes the words on the blackboard and teaches the words. 2.The teacher writes and teaches the words.Ss read the words aloud.Then the teacher points to each picture and Ss say the words:e.g.baseball,and the teacher says the first letter,the students spell the words.

Then get the Ss to say other words:watch,computer,game,ring,notebook,bag,? The teacher should point out the plural forms and their pronunciations. 3.T:Now,please match the words with the things in the picture.
