[设计意图] 通过复习所学的学习用品单词,复习、比较形容词性物主代词与名词性物主代词的用法,要求学生运用身边的物品,复习、练习目标语言,为后面部分的扩展学习和训练做准备。

StepⅡ.Listening (2a-2b)

1.Before listening

T:Please look at the pictures.What are they in English? Pointing to each picture and asking students to say the words. T:In picture 1,what’re these in English? Ss:They’re a pencil box and a pencil. T:What about picture 2? Ss:They’re erasers.

The teacher reminds them of the plural form words or the articles. 2.Listening activities

T:Listen to the conversation for the first time.The students are talking about things in the classroom.What are they talking about?Please tick the things in 2a.

Play the tape and get the students to listen to the conversation and check the things they hear.

T:What things do you tick? Ss:?

Check the students’ work to see which they tick.

3.T:Look at the picture in 2b.This is a classroom.Look!The things are on the floor.Now listen to the recording again.This time pay attention to the missing words

in the conversation.Read the words in the box and the conversation in 2b before listening.

Ss read the words and the conversation with some blanks.

T:Can you guess which word is proper in the second blank and the fourth blank? Ss:Erasers or books. T:Why?

Ss:Because we hear “those are?,these are?”

The teacher plays the tape again,pause if necessary.And check the students’ work.

T:Now,listen and fill in the blanks.While you are listening,you can write down the words,or only write down the first letter of the words.

4.After listening

T:Now let’s repeat the dialogue.You should follow the teachers’ pronunciation and intonation.

Ss repeat after the tape.The teacher corrects some pronunciation problems,such as books and erasers.

StepⅣ.Reading and role-playing (2d)

1.Discuss the picture in 2d.

T:Look at the picture in 2d.What can you see in the picture? Ss:A teacher and a girl.

T:Yes.Some things are on the teacher’s desk.The teacher wants to know whose they are.Please listen to the recording and follow the conversation.

2.The students listen and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.Remind them of the rising tone for general questions and the falling tone for special questions and statements in “What about the dictionary?” and “The blue pen is his.”

3.T:Open your books and practice the conversation in 2d in pairs. Ss read and then the teacher asks two students to show in class.

Teach to learn the meaning of the sentences.The teacher should explain some words,phrases and sentences,such as “They’re Bob’s./The blue pen is his./What about the dictionary?/Thank you for your help./You’re welcome.” ☆教材解读☆ 1.No,they’re Bob’s. 此处的 Bob’s表示“鲍勃的”(=Bob’s pencils)。-’s加在一个名词的后面,表示名词所有格,意为“??的”。

T:Now,let’s role-play the dialogue.First,boys role-play the teacher and girls role-play Anna.

Boys and girls role-play it.Then get the Ss to practice in pairs until they can say the conversation without the book.

T:Let’s see who can speak like a real English speaker.(Get two pairs to role-play the conversation in class.)

At last,the teacher makes some situations for the students to practice the conversation using their own things and makes it just like in real life.

1.T:Please read the sentences in Grammar Focus.(Play the PPT and getting the students to read them aloud.)Learn the grammar.

2.T:(After read the grammar,say.)OK.If you want to know if something belongs to somebody,you can ask the general question.For example,this pen.

Ss:Is this/that your pen? T:No,it isn’t mine.It’s his.

T:And these books.(The teacher helps the students to sum up the sentences.And write them on the blackboard.)

Ss:Are these/those your books? T:How do we answer these questions? Ss:We say mine/his/hers/yours/? T:How do we make a question?

Ss:We put “is” before “this/that” and “are” before “these/those”. T:How do we answer “is this/that” and “are these/those” questions? Ss:We say “it” and “they”.

T:If we don’t say the nouns in “my pen”,“your books”,“his pencil” and “her ruler”,what can we say?

Ss:We say “mine/yours/his/hers”.

Ss work by themselves and check in small groups.Then ask four pairs of students to read out their work.Let other students help to correct the mistakes if any.

2.T:S1 and S2,please read the questions and answers in the first line to the class.Others listen and see if there are any mistakes.
