对待中西方节日的不同态度

第一轮

A吴 最近大家都在庆祝圣诞节，感恩节这样的西方节日，我觉得这种现象不好，对此你们有什么看法么？

Recently, people are celebrating the Christmas and the thanksgiving day, I think this phenomenon is not well, how about you ?

B:我认为， 这种现象表明我们中国人已经变得越来越开放，而不是执着于一些与我们的现代生活不相适应的古老的习俗。回顾历史，因为我们的闭关锁国，让自己走上了一条饱受欧洲国家侵略的道路，所以我认为接受一些西方节日而不是固守自己很有必要。 Personally，the phenomenal shows that we Chinese have become much opener rather than clinging to some very old costumes, which are not suitable for nowadays. Looking back on history, we closed ourselves not to let other countries know about us, and led us to a very hard road on which we suffered many wars that many European countries launched. So I think it’s more necessary to accept other customs instead of closing ourselves.

C：我保持中立，在我看来，无论中西方节日都有它自己的特色，比如清明节用于祭祀，而圣诞节犹如春节。我们不能完全否认任何一方。

I remain neutral. In my opinion, both Chinese and western festivals have their own characteristics. For example, ancestor norship in the Tomb-sweeping Day, and Charistmas has meaning equal to Spring festival.

第二轮 A 吴

西方节日冲击了中国的传统文化，甚至有些人盲目追从这些节日，这样我们的中国文化是不是会被遗忘呢？

The western festival impacted the Chinese traditional culture, and even some folks blindly pursue the foreign festival, whether our culture will be forgotten one day or not?

C: W, 你的想法有些消极哦，中国传统文化博大精深，有些传统文化甚至有几千年的历史，又怎么能轻易被遗忘。

Actually, Wendy, your thinking is negative to some extent, Chinese traditional cultural is profound. And some of them even experience thousands of years. How could them be forgotten easily?

B:我认为，对年轻人来说，西方节日越来越有吸引力，他们已经对传统节日失去兴趣了。比起中秋节、端午节甚至春节，他们似乎更愿意过圣诞节。

Personally, for young people, western festival is becoming more and more attractive. They have lost their interest in traditional festivals. Comparing with Mid-autumn, Dargon-boat festival, and even Spring festival, they seem to be more willing to celebrate Christmas. C: Abby, 其实你的想法有不太对哦。长久以来，西方节日对中国人民的思想也是会带来束缚的，我们不能全盘接收，更要客观对待。

Abby，your idea is not all right. Western festival would constrict Chinese thought for a long time. We should treat it objective rather than accept everything. 第三轮

A端午节是我们中国的传统节日，但由于我们的不重视，韩国则企图申请端午节为文化遗产。

这足以说明我们对自己的节日缺乏传承与弘扬。

The dragon boat festival is our traditional festival ,but because our indifference of it ,Korea has applied for the culture heritage of the dragon boat festival ,that is enough to demonstrate that we do little to inherit and advance it.

B: 虽然这些节日对中国文化有影响，但也是有好处的。这些节日让我们更加了解各国文化，对于我们英语专业学生和日后工作也有好处。

Although these festivals have affected us, it’s also benefit us. For our English majors and our woking.

第四轮 A吴

其实我觉得中国文化已经深深沉浸在我们每个中国人的心里。那些在海外求学的大学生,每逢新春佳节总是会想尽办法去庆祝新年，那么为什么在国内非要去过万圣节过西方情人节呢。

I think the Chinese culture has been in the heart of every Chinese people. College students who study abroad would spare every effort to celebrate the new year ,and why we have to celebrate the Halloween and Valentine.

B:现代生活压力那么大，圣诞节让我们有机会放松一下，有何不可呢？

Since we are under pressure, Christmas offers us an opportunity to have a good relaxation, Why not?

C:我觉得你们说的都对，我们不能抛弃传统节日，它们给我们带来的意义是不可替代的，对于西方节日，我们也应取其精华去其糟粕。

I think you’re all reasonable. We mustn’t abandon the tradition festival, because the meaning which they bring us is endless. For western festivals, we have duty to take its essence and reject the bad.
