Kids are being taught by robots in South Korea. There are 29 robot teachers working in 19 primary schools in Daegu. Kids at Hakjung Primary School seemed excited to communicate with their robot teacher named Engkey. It is about 3.2 feet tall and can move around the classroom on its wheels. It can ask questions in English and dance to music.

Engkey was invented by the KIST and it cost about $1.39 million. It is controlled by teachers in the Philippines. It can communicate with students through sounds and pictures. When class begins, the teacher's face will appear on the LED screen.

The robot teachers will be mainly used in after-school programs because each can only teach eight kids at a time. In May 2014, TIME named the robots as one of the 50 best inventions of 2010. However, it also thought the robot teachers might have a strong influence on thousands of foreign English teachers in Korea. These may make them lose their jobs.

Kim Mun-Sang of KIST said, “We will keep on studying to improve the robots' teaching ability until it is very close to human teachers'.”But why not just use human teachers？According to a report of New York Times, the money used on education will not be enough if they use thousands of foreign teachers. More and more teachers are unwilling (不愿意) to live in the areas that are far away from the cities. But the robots are different. Although I don't think robot teachers can really take the place of human teachers in the future, they can at least help us solve some problems.

Fang Wenshan, a famous lyric(歌词) writer, has written many nice lyrics, including those for Jay Chou. However, his journey to success was filled with difficulties.

Born in a poor family, Fang had to work to pay for his education when he was young. During each vacation, he did many jobs such as sending newspapers and working as a waiter. In order to make money, he never minded how hard the work was.

As a student, Fang didn't do well in school and few people noticed him. To drive away his loneliness, he did writing and drawing. After his army life, he began to realize that his interest was in writing lyrics. So he put his heart in it.

One evening Beet was playing on a tree when he saw a big hand moving slowly to him. He opened his wings and wanted to fly away but it was too late.
