she is not alone in her fascination; it seems that both boys and girls are drawn to play with dirt at their youngest age.
Here are just five ways (of many) that dirt can benefit your children.
1. Studies have shown that dirt can be good for the brain. There are types of bacteria naturally found in soil, which can activate the neurons (神经元) that produce serotonin (血清促进素) — a key chemical in many bodily functions, as well as a natural anti-depressant (抗抑郁药). In other words, dirt can actually help make you feel happy.
2. Dirt is also great for the immune system, especially in children. Research has shown that early exposure to the naturally occurring tiny organisms in soil will help build strong and disease-resistant kids. In our culture, where we have entire aisles of cleaning products at the grocery store, some children are being raised in ―over-hygienic‖ (过分干净的) conditions. Without enough exposure to different bacteria, it is thought that the immune system doesn’t learn to recognize its own cells, and this could be a reason for higher rates of asthma (哮喘) and other diseases.
3. If you joined in reading The Last Child in the Woods last year with the Simple Living book club, you’ll be familiar with the term ―nature-deficit disorder‖. In our technologically savvy (有见识的) generation, kids just aren’t getting enough time to play outside, and that has now been linked to attention disorders, depression and obesity (肥胖).
4. Children who play outside laugh more, which means they’re happy! It also means their blood pressure and stress levels are lower.
5. Kids who play outside grow in their character development: they become more adventurous, more self-motivated, and they are better able to understand and assess risk. 60. In the text, the author mainly wants to show that ______.

It’s been 50 years since the first James Bond film, Dr. No, premiered (首映) in cinemas. As first embodied by Scottish actor Sean Connery, Agent 007 was a fearless, cool-as-ice spy who excelled at sleuthing (侦查), fighting and saving the world.
Since then, more than 20 films featuring the iconic (偶像的) spy have been released–making it one of the longest-running franchises (授权) in the history of cinema. On Nov 9, the 23rd Bond movie, Skyfall, celebrated the legend’s 50th birthday.
Over the years, audiences have changed. It doesn't matter. Six different actors have acted 007 and it doesn't matter. Even shocking technological and cultural changes can’t bend Bond. Why? Is it the action, the sexy women, the cars, the gadgets and the exotic locations? Yes, but the most important reason is still the man himself. Bond can challenge his boss and shoot a bad guy in mere minutes. He is an expert in literature, languages, art and fine wines. He has a sharp tongue besides his wits.
In the first film Dr. No, as Connery lit a cigarette, we heard James Bond’s voice and saw his café for the first time. The simple scene and short phrase have defined the character for half a century.
―Next to the Beatles and Stones, James Bond was the greatest British import of the 1960s,‖ David Kamp, a US contributing editor for Vanity Fair, wrote in a recent article about the birth of Bond and its influence on the US.
The Bond phenomenon has clearly affected movie culture, pop culture and spy culture. But perhaps the most amazing thing is that 007 has survived in the age of feminism. ―Talking of objectifying women, Bond is essential Huge Henfner (founder of Playboy magazine) with a gun,‖ movie critic Xan Brooks told The Guardian. ―But women liked Bond, too. He couldn’t have run for 50 years with male fans alone.‖
We love Bond for many reasons—after all 50 years, Bond is still breathtaking. thrilling ride into the very heart of an icon like no other. But most of all, we may love him for one reason: ―he always gets away with it.‖ one said.

A woman who attended my workshop took me aside to tell me about her son and his friend. They are 15, and the friend was dealing with some really upsetting problems at home. But he felt comfortable and safe at her house and she and her son had taken this boy under their wings. What she found remarkable was that in his overly stressed state, he found happiness in the simplest video games from his youth.
She began to closely observe more of her son’s friends. She noticed that all of them, when they are relaxed and comfortable, love to play the games they enjoyed when they were 10. Her theory is that these boys are under too much pressure to behave older than they feel, so they allow themselves to let their hair down and really relax with their friends. And sometimes it makes them feel happy and comfortable to play like kids.
Teens often feel as though they are on a stage performing when they go to school. They feel evaluated (评价) and judged, and if they don’t measure up they feel bad.
One of the greatest gifts you can give your teen this Christmas vacation is the opportunity to relax and be a kid. When the snow comes, encourage sledding (乘雪撬), skating and have the hot chocolate ready. Get out old-fashioned games. And if they get silly and act like they did when they were 10, all the better. To be able to relax that much, to feel that comfortable with family or a few chosen friends is a great gift. Not just this vacation, but anytime. Your teens have a lifetime in front of them to learn to be an adult. And these days of their youth are fading fast. Help them make a few more memories.
68.Why do teens play the games they enjoyed when they were 10?
A. They don’t like school.
B. It takes time for teens to grow up. D. Teens need opportunities to play and
D. They are addicted to playing games. B. They can feel like small kids again.
C. They don’t want to be with adults.
69.What does the author want to say in the last paragraph? A. Teens grow up too quickly. C. Some games may make teens silly.
relax.
70.What can be the best title for the text? A. Let your teens be kids

computer screen. She greeted me by name and started talking enthusiastically. Every now and then she stopped to smile at me or blow a kiss. She was reading to me an e-mail from my brother, and a lot of it was about his getting the phone company to give him a high=speed Internet connection. It was pretty cool.
Rachel was there thanks to a new technology called Facemail. Facemail lets you send an e-mail that gets read to the receiver by an attractive male or female form or by a clown. The software, which is free, can be downloaded at www. Facemail.com.
Facemail faces are lifelike, and they copy emotions based on the ones that you put in your text. For example, type in X, and Rachel blows a kiss.
Life FX, the company that develops the Facemail is sure there are broad business uses. The reason e-business is not popular, the company says, is that buying over the Internet lacks the human touch. But what if you went to the Nike website and Michael Jordan greeted you by name, waited on you and personally closed the sale? And the company is talking with Whirlpool about using the technology in a computer screen on a fridge. Then if Mom can’t be home when the kids get back from school, she can leave a note with voice and image telling them what there is to eat.
Facemail could get hot fast. Personally, I’m a fan. But Facemail should be used with words in an e-mail and add angry emotions when you’ve got a psycho-mail.
