Say, I have some problems. Who can give me some advice ? 1. My friend is always saying something bad about me . 2. I am nervous when I speak in front of a group . 3. I can’t sleep the night before take a big exam.

Ask Ss to work in groups. Then each group chooses a volunteer to give advice. Step2: In put

1. What do you know about “accidents” and “problems”? Discuss the following questions and take notes.

1) What kinds of accidents do you know of ?

2) What is the biggest problem a teenager has?

2. Say, Maybe we have accidents in our life ,what would you do if ……?Ask Ss to read the reading and let them discuss the importance in groups . The teacher offer help if the Ss need .After reading ,ask Ss to complete the chart after the reading .

How serious do you think these problems in the reading are? Rank them [1-4] (1 is the most serious).

虚拟条件句

一、 study the following sentences:

1. what would you do if you had a lot of money? 如果你有许多钱,你会干什么? 2.If I were you ,I would take it home. 如果我是你,我会把它拿回家。 3.If I had time ,I would attend the meeting. 如果我有时间,我会来开会的。

二、 从上面的例子看出,说话人所说的并非客观事实,而是表达说

话人的愿望、技术、假设、猜测或建议的语气。----- 虚拟语气 虚拟语气常用在条件状语和结果状语的从句中。本单元学习与现在事实相反的虚拟条件句。 三、 基本结构:

主句谓语由“would (should,could,might)+原形动词”构成。 [will--- would; shall--- should; can---could; may---might]

条件状语从句由“动词的过去式(be动词一律用were)”构成。 注意事项:

如果条件句中省略了连词if,从句须到装。
