Popularity of e-books

Along with the advance of the society more and more electronic products have been brought to our attention. We have e-mails, e-tickets, e-texts and e-books. Now using e-books is becoming more and more popular. Whether it is suitable for people to read, there is a debate. There are two sides of opinions about it.

Some people are in favor of the idea of using e-books, and e-books sales are very large. First of all, using e-books don’t pollute the environment and reduce the waste of paper. The larger capacity also makes it more perfect. More importantly, it is convenient to read on line, so we don’t need to go to the bookstore frequently. More important of all, reading e-books saves money. Lastly, I like using e-books because it with beautiful colors and interesting sounds. As a consequence, it has emerged as a debated topic whether e-books will take the place of traditional books. As far as I concerned, e-books can’t be a substitute for traditional books. For one thing, e-books do harm to our eyes if we keep reading them for a long time. For another, they need electricity. We can’t read without electricity. Last but not the least, you can take a traditional book anywhere and read it anytime but you can’t always have access to the Internet. These reasons are obvious.

Although e-books can’t replace our traditional books, e-books is still popular in our daily because of its benefits. So I think that e-books will have a better development in the future, and more functions will be improved.
