教学对象:九年级学生 教学设计:罗玉会 教学目标 知识目标

1.Students can grasp the target language and vocabularies. What are you supposed to do when you meet someone? ——You are not supposed to shake hands.

——You should have asked what you were supposed to wear? 能力目标

(1) Train students’ listening ability. (2) Train students’ integrating skills.

(3)Train students’ communicative competence. (4)Improve the four skills of learning English . 情感态度和价值观

培养学生文明的交际行为,学会比较不同的国家的文化差别,能理解和尊重不同国家风俗礼仪习惯。 教学难点

Can use “be supposed to” correctly.

教学过程: Step 1:Warming up

Show the map .ask the students to guess what each of the countries is. For example : Brazil Japan Korea the United States and so on . let students know about the countries so that students understand that different countries have different culture. Step 2: Presentation by play a game.

Students have learned the new words in the first part. So it is a good way for teachers to describe the words and students guess what they are . for example ,this word is noun. It is a kind of paper or handkerchief that you use to wipe your mouth or hands while having dinner (napkin). In this way ,students can remember the words easily.

(设计意图:让学生复习巩固所学的单词,利用多媒体,介绍一些国家的礼节礼仪,有利于1a活动的开展,通过对旧知识的复习有利于新课的句型教学。) Step 3 : Listening practice .

1) .Ask students to think : what are they supposed to do when they meet someone for the first time ? ( in China) S: Answer the question.( one or two students) 2) Let students practice.

let them practice the important sentences again and again according to the picture.

3) .Read the instructions again and ask students to match the customs lettered. a , b ,and c .with the countries. Point out the sample answer 。 Match the countries with the customs. Countries Customs 1. c Brazil

①students try to get the general idea .

②play the recording a second time . Say , now listen to the recording and check your answers to activity 1a.

5). Pair work: Talk about what people in different countries do when they meet for the first time.

(设计意图:英语新课规范要求运用“任务型”教学方法,因此在听问题之前,先出现要回答的问题,让学生带着问题去听录音,这样学生就会有意识地抓住要听的内容,提高学生听的效果。)

Teacher asks students: what are you supposed to do if you are invited to a friend’s house?

Students answers. 适当拓展 Step 5:

Listen to 2a ,pay attention to the pronunciation and get the general idea. ①Point to the picture and ask students to tell what is happening. Help students understand that people are at a picnic .

②Point to Maria and ask .what’s Maria wearing. Ask if she looks comfortable or comfortable.

③Read the instructions and point to the four mistakes on the list .read the mistakes to the class or ask different students to do it .then ask different students to explain the meaning of each line in their own words. Say .listen to Maria talking to a boy about what happened at the picnic .she made several mistakes .listen to the recording and check the mistakes she made.

④Listen for the third time and fill in the blanks in 2b .

⑤Explain difficult points.

e. g 1) be supposed to do means should do You are supposed to clean the classroom every day . It is supposed to be very hot here.

(设计意图:英语课堂教学要求全面提高学生的听、说、读、写的能力,本节课中有一些重点的语法点常出现在练习中,而且学生往往不易记住,因此教师有必要讲解其中的难点,并且通过举例进一步达到知识的运用。) Step 6. Summary

In this class, we have done some listening, reading and speaking practice. We have practiced the target languages. We also did a discussion to show the standards about a good behaved student. I hope we can all become good behaved students and it is helpful to our studies. Step 7. Extension

活动设计①Work in groups :In China, what is supposed to do in these following situations? We will see which group can say better . In China ,what is supposed to do in these following situations ? 1.greeting teachers 2.doing homework 3.phoning someone 4.visiting someone’s place 5.making plans with friends

a .Say , “Good morning .” b .At home or in school after school c. Say , “Hello ,I’M …… d. Call first ,and knock at the door e. Discuss the plan , call to make changes. f. Always on time or little early . g. Festival gifts being necessary . 活动设计②火眼金睛

利用多媒体课件出示姚明和奥尼尔的图片,简要介绍任务背景:姚明应奥尼尔的邀请到家中参加派对,但姚明犯了些风俗礼仪上的错误 ,请学生找出姚明的错误,并说出:What was Yao Ming supposed to do ?并变成对话表演出来。

(设计意图:激发学生兴趣,为学生创设情境 ,引领其回顾本课说学内容,通过这两个拓展活动,使其能进一步对所学语言进行正确运用。)

Step 8 . Homework.

上网查找:在美国、巴西 、日本、韩国、瑞士等国家应该注意那些礼节礼仪。

课后反思

在这一课的教学设计中,我注意充分发挥学生的主体作用,注重学生的合作,同时利用多媒体图片及实物尽量创设真实的语境以提高交流的效果,使学生爱学、乐学,在“用中学,在学中用”提高了学习效果。另外在听力教学中,采用“全听、选听、精听”策略,有的放矢,收到了良好的效果。缺乏之处:根据授课效果来看,很不理想。这个班级是我本学期刚接手任教的,根据以往的经验,我单方面认为学生己掌握了基本的听说能力,没有从学生的实际动身,而这堂课我差不多全用了英语,导致学生无法准确地接收我发出的信息,也就无法正确地用英语表达,很多地方出现了冷场。课堂气氛很不活跃,在几个地方的问答操练的时候,学生的反应没有我设想的那么好,为了和时进行弥补,在原计划的基础上增加了操练的次数和人数,导致最后辅导练习没有来得和完成。经过反思,还是觉得自身没有站在学生的角度动身,对学生了解的还不够,只是一厢情愿的进行自身的教学,今后一定要从学生的实际动身,充沛了解学情,达到最佳的教学效果。
