1. The prepare of Carla install file

Before install software in computer, please make sure that your operation system is WinXP and the free space in your C disk is not less than 10G. Your machine name must be recorded, and your password of administrator is set to asb#1234.

Files needed for winXP: carla_4.3.5Ed1Proposal4.zip; carla_windows_third_parts_Rev1.1.3.zip

For example:

\\\\s3gweb\\UMTS_ST\\Teams\\TATUS\\WorkEnvironment\\Delivery\\Carla_install carla_4.3.5Ed2.zip ； carla_windows_third_parts_Rev1.2.0.zip for win XP

2. The installation of software third party

2.1. The installation of third party for winXP

1. Copy carla_windows_third_parts.zip in C:\\Temp or C:\\Tmp 2. Extract carla_windows_third_parts.zip here 3. cd carla-third-parts 4. run install.bat

5. Notepad opens the host file. You have to add an entry with the IP in the Carla network and the hostname. For helping you, hostname and IP are printed in the command console. Stand alone install on localhost does not need an edit of this file, close notepad now.

6. Save the file (Ctrl-S) and close notepad.

7. When prompt “Do you want to install ANT? (yes/no)”, input the answer found in point 1. 8. When prompt “Do you want to install JDK? (yes/no)”, input the answer found in point 2.

a. Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” – Press Next

b. Always press Next without changing any values each time the wizard asks to you. c. Press Install

e. If prompt for reinstalling the JRE, answer no. f. If prompt for restart now or later, answer later

9. [Application server only] When prompt “Do you want to install Apache web server? (yes/no)”,answer yes if you install an application server.

a. Next

b. Select “I accept the terms in the license agreement” – Press Next c. Server Information - Do not change anything - Press Next d. Choose “Typical” – Press Next

e. Do not change the Destination Folder - Press Next f. Press Install and then Finish

10. [Application server only] When prompt “Do you want to install mysql? (yes/no)”, answer yes if you install an application server.

a. When prompting for root password, enter alcatel

After you finish install these files in your computer, you will ready for the installation of Carla windows.

Notice: 1) When install Apache, you will be asked to input Server Domain, Server Name, and email address,

you may add at your will, but Server Name should input your machine name.

2) When completed your installation of Apache, you must be sure Apache service is running and the

Apache icon is become green.

3. The installation of Carla Windows

3.1. The modify of install.propertyes

Extract carla_4.3.5Ed1Proposal4.zip to temporary directory (C:\\Temp on Windows XP) and modify four parameters in the file of install.propertyes under the directory of C:\\Temp\\carla_4.3.5. The installation of Carla linux is same to the Carla winXP. More detail like this:

a. Network settings – Network on which traffic server and application server can communicate install.network.addr = @IP (ex=10.9.4.0)

install.network.mask = @mask (ex=255.255.254.0)

b. HMI system informations

install.hmi.home = /home/carlaV4 – do not change

c. Database settings

install.db.host.addr = @IP (ex=10.9.5.106) install.db.host.name = localhost (ex=tatus) install.db.name = carlav3 – do not change

d. Application server settings

install.appli.host.addr = @IP (ex=10.9.5.106) install.appli.host.secondary.addr = optional
