PLATE GLASS (FLOAT MOLDING)

ABSTRACT

Super White Glass is a super clear low iron glass, also called low iron glass、high

transparent glass. It is a kind of premium、multi-functional and new top-grade glass varieties ,light transmittance can reach above 91.5% ,it has glittering and translucent、upscale elegant character and it is said "crystal prince" of the glass family.Super white glass also has all of the performance that high quality float glass can be processed ,and it has the superior physical, mechanical and optical property,too. It can be made all sorts of deep processing like other high quality float glass,such as toughened. incomparable superior quality and product performance makes the white glass has broad application space and bright prospect of market. This design task is to design 500 tons of super white plate glass (float moulding)，the key design is ingredients workshop.Design process including ingredients calculation, the material balance calculation, equipment selection, site choice, key workshop design steps.Float molding process is in the protection of N2 gas H2 and the tin slot. Molten glass furnace continuous flow from the pool and floating in the relative density of liquid surface, the surface tension of gravity and, under the action of Li liquid in liquid surface spread out flat, smooth surface, fluctuation, hardening, after cooling rollers machine was onto the transition. Roller machine, rolls out the glass with tin slot into the annealing lehr, and cutting, get flat glass products.

Graduation design on the glass production process has more clearly understood, professional knowledge successfully used to guide practice, after work.
