Derivativeexpansionsofopen-stringe ectiveactionsmaybeobtainedfromalgebraicrulesappliedto uctuationsofworld-sheetcoordinates.TheserulesembodythepresenceofD-branesasboundarystates,andaredictatedbytheclosed-stringbackground.WhenthelattercontainsalargeconstantB- eld,noncommutativityintroducessomemorestructureintotheformofthee ectiveaction,underthedisguiseofstar-products.
Theseproductsarethensubjecttodeformationscomingfromshort-distancesingularitiesintheoperatorproductexpansions.Wehaveseenthatthisprogramcanbecompletedinthecaseoftachyoninsertionsontheboundaryontheworld-sheet,aswellasinthecaseofphotoninsertions,whereitwasoriginallyworkedout.Moreover,objectssuchask-aryproducts kor kwithk≥5,whichwerede nedonlyformallyinthecontextgaugetheory,contributetothe
