2.1 Directions:Write a clever T-shirt slogan.Read the T-shirt and design a T-shirt with excuses for not going to school.

No, really, I was here all morning. I was just hiding under my invisible jacket.

My goldfish died.

My cat was lonely.

I was in a fatal car accident yesterday.

A dog stole on my books at the bus stop and I had to run after

it to get my books back.

An elephant sat on the school bus.

My little sister hid my father’s car keys and then forgot where she had hidden them.

I was sure it was Saturday today.

I had an appo intment at the dentist’s but, before I could go, he

phoned and cancelled.

I couldn’t remember how to get to school.

2.2 Directions: Complete the emails with expressions from the list. Dear John,

I’m sorry that I can’t come to your birthday party next S aturday as my sister is getting married. I hope you have a great time. Perhaps we can meet next week, perhaps on Wednesday or Thursday. Let me know.
